Last fall I had the chance to review some workout wear from a company called pv.body. I really liked what I received.
Since then, a lot has changed. Pv.body is now called Ellie and has changed its focus. Instead of sending out other brands’ workout gear at a reduced price each month, they have developed a label called Ellie and will be coming out with a new line each month so you’ll always have new workout fashion to browse.
Shortly after my post went up in December, the company went through some major transitions to implement the above and left lots of customers confused and unhappy. I’ll admit that I had all but decided not to move forward with any more participation because of the complaints.
But then an outfit arrived at my house one day, and like several others, I loved it. I wanted to be very skeptical, but I found myself choosing this outfit for every gym workout in the weeks that followed. I felt it was the right thing to do to share what Ellie is really like.
My pieces came from the Love, Ellie line for February
The Tempt Me Tank is awesome for several reasons:
- It’s LOOOONG! After getting hooked on maternity wear, I’m still a big fan of long tanks. Most of my pre-baby tanks are a bit too short (also thanks to nursing boobs) so this one is perfect.
- It’s really stretchy. Easy to get on and off.
- The ruching across the stomach is a great tummy disguiser. Me like.
The Kiss Me Capris are my new favorite crops (more than the Lulu pair I bought last month I will add). I love the fabric (it’s more spandex/compression and less cotton-y), length and the extra wide medium-rise waistband.
Don’t mind my awesome gym hair : )
Each month, a new collection of 24 pieces debut, and the April Coral Crush line comes out any day now, and check out the Little Black Collection for March, which will be up throughout April as well.
I love that they have changed the terms so that you can either shop directly from Ellie.com classic style OR subscribe to a monthly set of 2 pieces for $49.95 (this includes perks like free shipping and first dibs on choice plus a big discount). So you can test the lines out before committing to a subscription (even though the subscriptions are cancelable at any time…)
If you do feel like adding a new brand to your workout collection, here’s 20% off! (That’s an affiliate link, but if you would rather shop organically, just Google search for Ellie). Of course no pressure at all! Just wanted to share my experience.
